Time to get some PvP dino’s and we’re starting off with a centipede / Arthropluera tame. Not sure if they are viable for leveling, but these Arthropluera surely chew through armor!
Now that the Aztec Pyramid is closed up, it’s time to start thinking about the PvP side of things. First thing I wanted to do is get one of those new centipede or Arthropluera. From what I heard and read, they chew through armour pretty fast, and that might be a good thing for PvP.
As I was traveling through the swamps, I discovered about 5 of these Arthropluera. One of them was level 400+, and so I got ready to pick it up with my Quetzal. As you might have noticed in the video, that was quite a hassle. First it took me about 15 minutes to find that high level one back, then my computer crashed, and when I got back, I got attacked by bugs and fell of my bird. Luckily … no harm was done.
Once I picked up the Arthropluera, I remembered I didn’t even build a taming pen. Luckily, some friendly tribe went ahead an put a temporary one up near my Pyramid for me to use. Taming the Arthropluera itself seemed to be quite tough too. First of all, once it spots you, it gets aggressive. If that’s not enough, it’s a passive tame and it’s hitbox for feeding seems to be strange.
All in all, it took me more than one in-game day, and approximately 40 ‘real’ minutes of running around, and a full set of armour, before it got tamed! Once tamed, I tried to kill a few things with the Arthropluera. I have to say, I’m not impressed with it’s damage. Sure … it can survive a bit … but the way it’s chewing through armour is why I want a few of those in my PvP base. Let them break the armour of the attackers while the turrets finish off the rest.
All in all, taming an Arthropluera wasn’t an easy task, but I’ll surely do it again some day!
