The well know duo Ratchet & Clanc is back, and this time first on PlayStation 4! This release goes back to the original story of Ratchet & Clank. But it’s not just another ‘remake’. It comes with a broach range of elements from the complete Ratchet & Clank collection, with some new game elements and impressive visuals to revive the original story.
The story begins when the failed Galactic Ranger Ratchet and the small, accidentally created robot Clank meet. Together they try to ensure that the evil Doctor Nefarious and the evil leader Chairman Drek can’t achieve their cruel plan to destroy the universe. When they miraculously succeed in their goal, they are rewarded and appointed Galactic Rangers! But the euphoria was short-lived because the next challenge is already lurking around the corner. Captain Quark, the most legendary Galactic Ranger ever, is not happy with the sudden popularity of Ratchet and Clank and tries to sabotage their work. Will the dynamic duo be able to regain Captain Quark on their side?
Combining the familiar storyline and innovative game elements, this game is a unique addition to the Ratchet & Clank range. But there’s more! Soon Ratchet and Clank will not only live in their games, but they can also be seen on the big screen. The game is accompanied by an animation movie of Entertainment One Benelux around the story of two heroes, which will appear in cinemas from the 4th of May. Players can enjoy the movie and continue the adventure in their living rooms for a complete Ratchet & Clank experience!
Graphically it is pretty hard to tell the difference between the game and the movie. Developer Insomniac Games stays true to the original Retching & Clank games. Classic gameplay is enhanced by many new game elements, including challenging boss fights, new flight levels and a real hoverboard race! For those who pre-order the game will still provide a nice bonus: “The Bouncer” an exclusive, downloadable weapon to blow up with opponents!
